Amherst Development Association of Hadley, MA installed the PV System to meet the LEED requirements of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife. The custom design and installation of a grid tied photovoltaic system not only decreased carbon emissions but offered a great investment. Flat Roof Ballasted Racking was specially designed to meet the structural obstacles of the building, and support the PV system, ensuring the longevity of the roof and system’s lifetime.
U.S Fish and Wildlife works to conserve and protect fish, wildlife and plants, as well as their habitats in the state of Massachusetts. This Government Division works to balance the needs of people and wildlife today so wildlife will be available for everyone’s enjoyment today and for future generations.

A large customer in Western Massachusetts engaged Absolute Green Energy to build solar plants on their various roof surfaces. As a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility goals, the company wanted to decrease carbon emissions and earn an attractive return on investment. The customer was installing a new roof and timing this with the installation of a solar energy system made fiscal sense to support their efforts in obtaining a LEED silver certification.
One of the largest systems installed by Absolute Green Energy, it features a combination of various solar solutions including solar thermal, thin film and polycrystalline modules, designed to meet the customer’s specific needs while offsetting a great portion of their energy consumption.

Teradyne is a global provider of testing equipment and a highly technical company, which pays close attention to engineering details. Their solar photovoltaic project required custom engineering in several areas to overcome building structural issues that could have delayed installation or shut the project down.
The installed system allows Teradyne to monitor and shut down the entire system at the module level, as well as provide a detailed level of monitoring across their various rooftop array’s.
